Ragging in the college campus is banned and any one indulging in ragging is likely to be punished as per direction of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, U.G.C., Punjab Government / Punjabi University, Patiala. The punishment may include fine, suspension from the classes for a limited period or both and even expulsion from the University.
The following will be termed as act of Ragging
* Teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student.
* Indulging in rowdy or in disciplined activities.
* Causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment to a fresher or a junior student.
All concerned may note the following:
* Ragging is Unsocial, Illegal and Punishable
* Ragging is any form at any place in the campus or outside is strictly prohibited.
* Any student found indulging in the act of ragging will be liable for strict disciplinary Action as mentioned above.
An Anti-Ragging cell has been established by the college authorities for curbing the menace of Ragging, All the cases of Ragging will be referred to the Anti-Ragging cell which will recommend suitable punishment for guilty as per law.
The following disciplinary measure may be adopted by the college authority in dealing with on the part of the student misconduct
1. Fine 2. Suspension 3. Expulsion 4. Rustication
In all disciplinary matters or breach of norms, rules etc. the decision of the Principal will be final and binding All legal matters or Litigation or Dispute of any sort shall be settled in the Courts of District S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) only.
